Aloha from the island of Maui!

I wanted to share a few photos in an attempt to be a better travel blogger. I was able to borrow 3 lenses from Canon for this trip, one of which is a tilt shift lens. I’ve never used one, so bare with me while I post my trial and error shots as I get used to it!

The next few weeks will be full of random trips. Tomorrow I leave for Los Angeles and while Pablo is going for business, I’ll be getting some shopping and eating done. Then, for the weekend, we will head to La Jolla, California to reminisce about how we met, stroll along the beach, and hopefully take some better photos (pictured below).

I’ll be back in Santiago by Monday, the 30th, just in time to squeeze in some sessions, meetings, and a wedding before I head back to the US via San Francisco. From there I head to Hawaii to visit my parents on Maui for 10 days, where I’ll work on my tan, and try 3 new lenses I plan to borrow (I get free rentals, now that I’m a Canon Professional!).

From there, I head to Las Vegas for the BIGGEST wedding photography convention in the world, WPPI. I’m registered and ready to come back 100% inspired and motivated to create awesome images and continue building my business. Aside from the classes and convention itself, I’ll be meeting tons of wedding professionals (potential new friends?), some of whom I’ve known online for more than a year now.

So, if I am MIA for the next month, you know why! However, I would love to make these trips be the start of my better travel blogging and travel photography… lets see how that goes!

Remember Tania and Claus? They started my year off with a BANG and got married in a beautiful vineyard called Viña Matetic in the Casablanca Valley. They both looked stunning, and I was happy to photograph my first groom with a bow tie, sharp! They also had a crazy Danish tradition which involves grabbing the groom and cutting the toe off his socks, which you’ll see below. Hope you enjoy!

Rocio and Gustavo are adorable. Their quirky expressions made my job a breeze, just look at how cute they are! They got married over the holidays in Santiago so Gustavo would have time to come down from the US, where he is studying, then they both went back together. Best wishes to you two, enjoy your new life in Utah!

It really doesn’t get more classy than a groom in a vintage style hat and a bride wearing a birdcage veil! Camila and Gonzalo’s wedding at Casa Montt was gorgeous. The guests even dressed up to theme! The venue has a beautiful front garden where their civil ceremony took place in open air right before sunset, perfect for photos. I’m super excited to share this HOT couple with you… Congrats Camila and Gonzalo!

Puro Caballo was the perfect peaceful setting for Coni and Luis’s spiritual Zen ceremony. Coni wore a beautiful veil and perfectly summery wedding dress and really put a lot of thought into creating unique details; from the Japanese sun umbrellas guests used during the ceremony to her personalized table numbers! Luis and Coni both had beautiful smiles that lit up my images and made my job a breeze as you’ll see below Congratulations and thanks for letting me photograph your wedding!

Carolina and Cristóbal are such a down to earth couple but they definitely knew how to party! The day was relaxed, not rushed, and very entertaining. Carolina looked so elegant in her amazingly detailed dress and church and reception venue were picture perfect. The golf course gave me some really beautiful scenes to work with and I was very happy with the way their portraits turned out! Check them out!

Paulina and George’s wedding was in the works ever since Paulina decided she had to get married on her family’s lake property near Quillon, Chile in the south. She arrived in boat with her dad and after the lake view wedding ceremony (and baptism for their new baby!), all the guests were invited for a boat ride! Guests came from Spain, the U.S., Argentina, Brasil… you could really tell how special this couple was to the people that love them, they are truly surrounded by awesome people!

Cyntia and Victor’s intimate civil ceremony was so unique, beautiful, and SUPER colorful! Remember them from there super cute engagement session from back in April? Now they are married! The awesome flowers and decorations are thanks to Bethany at www.atelierdesign.cl and the venue Ñuñoa called Bea’s House and, most importantly, the creative, committed, and lovely bride, Cyntia.
