American couple, one dash of Pakistani culture, and a Caribbean beach in Mexico made for an awesome destination wedding! I’ve missed bridesmaids and groomsmen (rare here in Chile) and it was awesome to see everyone hanging out before and after the ceremony, truly enjoying themselves with the people most important to them. I really got to know who they were by watching them have fun with their wedding party and hearing what everyone had to say about them. David and Miral are a super laid back couple who are clearly the perfect match. Miral is gorgeous and her intricate dress painted the beach line with some color… creating some pretty dreamy photos!

This girl IS wearing a swimsuit and she just had to come tell Miral how beautiful her dress was! Love the look on Miral’s face!

Don’t know what’s going on here, but I love it! They almost accomplished “speak no evil, see no evil, hear no evil”!

I couldn’t leave the beach without this shot, cliché as it is!

Engagement Session in Central Park New York City

All my couples are pretty awesome, but this couple tops the list for most international couple. She is Chilean, he is Danish, they live in New York City. I’ll be shooting their wedding here in Chile next summer and I had the opportunity to shoot their engagement when I was visiting New York last weekend, I love good excuses to travel! They got engaged on a boat on the pond in Central Park, so we started the session there. Claus he even googled how to say “Will you marry me” in Spanish and included it with the ring.. how cute! Anyways, New York City is an awesome place to take amazing photos, and with such a beautiful couple, I couldn’t be happier with how the shoot turned out. Here are a few of my favorites:

Cartagena, Colombia Engagement Session : Wedding Photography

My boyfriend and I were able to spend 4 glorious days in Cartagena, Colombia over Semana Santa last week… thanks to LAN Chile We refreshed our tans, enjoyed the heat and humidity, and drank fresh exotic fruit juice 3 times a day. And, of course, I couldn’t just let a beautiful, colorful, authentic city setting go to waste! With the help of the Colombian exchange student my family hosted when I was in high school, I was able to find a cute couple to pose for us for a quick session! How cool is my job if I’m excited to do it on vacation?! We had only been in the city for a few hours before the shoot, but despite not knowing the city that well, it wasn’t hard finding picturesque little streets and buildings to make awesome punchy photos! Oh how I would love to go back for a wedding!

I’m beyond thrilled about this wedding! This was the first wedding I’ve ever had where we didn’t have time for portraits before sunset. The ceremony started 10 minutes before sunset.. not ideal. I was pretty stressed out and worried that the photos wouldn’t turn out as good as my previous weddings, but once I saw them on the big screen and started editing I was ecstatic. My “assistant”, as some of you already know, is my boyfriend Pablo. The bride and groom were getting ready at the same time 20 minute drive away from each other and I can’t be at two places at once, so Pablo had to take photos and his shots are excellent. Makes me love him even more! I’ll note which one’s are his this time just so you can realize how great they are for a guy that just learned how to use a camera a few months ago.

Aside from me being stressed out the whole time about lighting, the wedding was great. The reception venue, Club Concepción, was beautiful and the party was just getting started when we left at 4am, definitely a hit! Loredana and Felipe super laid back and everything went along perfectly.
